Be Your Own Best Boss. Willing to fire yourself!?
Welcome back!
Thousands of new entrepreneur seekers every day and when ask what they think they will gain as an entrepreneur. Many of them say: I will have my own business, I will have my freedom. Keep in mind, though, freedom comes with responsibility. The freedom and the flexibility of your time—I can work my own hours—that is all true, but the freedom comes with responsibility. The responsibility is you have to be your own best boss. You have to be your own fair boss. You have to be your own tough boss because sometimes your boss gives you tough love. You have to be able to evaluate yourself and look at yourself, and say, would I fire this individual?
If you commit to work your business like you could get fired, I think a lot of us would do much better rather than just taking a relaxed approach. For some reason, that freedom, the thought of freedom to do whatever I want, causes people to slack off and forget what they should really be doing. There is no boss; you are your own boss. You have to be able to manage your time like you did when you had a boss, meaning, you should know how many hours you are going to work in a day. When I say work, remember entrepreneurship is the one place where you don’t get paid for your hours; you only get paid for your results.
