Take actions and assume risks
Welcome back!
Being an entrepreneur will test you in every way imaginable and all your weaknesses are going to be brought to the table. However, the rewards are going to be the greatest ever. Of course with the rewards come challenges. For you to be successful as an entrepreneur, you have to be willing to take actions and able to assume some risks.
I’ve noticed an interesting thing when it comes to entrepreneurship. For example, some of my entrepreneur coaching clients who were great at selling and moving whatever product it was they sold for their old job. They approached the idea of being an entrepreneur by saying, “Awesome, I can do this entrepreneurship deal, no problem. I was already doing that for my old job, I already know how to and I was great at it.” But as an entrepreneur, suddenly they are now representing themselves. They can no longer hide behind someone else’s corporation and suddenly they have nobody to tell them what and when to take actions. Now the buck stops with them. When this situation arises, I see some people hesitant to take any action they are scared to make mistake. Now they second guess themselves: Is this the perfect action I am taking? What if I am wrong? All of the sudden, rejection seems crushing to them. When they used to get rejection at their old job, they were okay, but now when they get rejected as an entrepreneur, they take it personally. They get down on themselves and lose confidence. It is interesting to see some people are more willing to take action for their job working for someone else. But have trouble taking actions for their own business.
My advice is to take actions. Even when you are not 100% sure about it, giving yourself a chance to be successful. Remember when you are scared that is just a part of entrepreneurship. You are taking risk! Good for you.
