The first item we are going to address in your Business Plan for your Home Base Business is the most important. It is something that is really dear to my heart. I believe it is so important, that I wish that I could come right up to you, look you in the eye, and convey to you how important this is.

 

Imagine this. If you get into a taxi cab and you tell the taxi driver “Driver, start driving,” and the taxi driver asks you, “Where do you wish to go?” and you say, “I don’t know yet, just drive around for me”. The taxi cab driver keeps driving, and you drive around for 15 more minutes, and then he turns back, and he says, “Ma’am, where are you trying to go?” and you reply, “I don’t know. Drive around a little longer. I don’t know where I want to go.” Does that sound crazy to you? As his meter is ticking and your money is going out the window because the clock is ticking? That doesn’t make any sense does it? Well, that is what you would be doing if you do not do number one on the business plan.

 

Number 1 - What is your Goal?

If you don’t have a goal, it will be very much like getting into a taxi cab and

paying the taxi driver to drive you around aimlessly, costing you money and time. Your business will be just like the meter in that taxi cab, wasting your money and time. What is your goal? What do you want to achieve? What is the time frame? 3 years? 5 years? What exactly are you going to accomplish in each time frame?
