Business Plan for a Home Based Business - I-Action step #9

Welcome back!

What are your business hours?

What is your work schedule? It’s very important to have a work schedule. It is so wonderful to have the flexibility of your hours as a home base business owner. However, a trap that entrepreneurs often fall into is if you don’t keep track and hold yourself accountable for the hours, it might be easy to get off track. You should have your business hours. Most of us home base business owners when starting out, have other responsibilities. We can’t necessarily just sit at a desk and work Monday through Friday, 8:00 – 5:00. You might have to do it after work and juggle your hours a little bit. For example your hours may be Mon, Wed, Friday from 7:00 to 10:00PM and Saturday from 10:00AM to 6:00PM. Write that down.

Once you write out your work hours. Next step is to make your schedule. To make your schedule take all the things you need to do for your business into time slots. This will help you spend your time more efficiently.

On Mon, Wed and Friday from

7:00 to 8:00 you may be returning phone calls.

8:00 to 9:00 you may be prospecting.

9:00 to 10:00 you may be doing your emails or prospecting a different time zone.

On Saturday from

10:00 to 12:00 you may do 3 ways calls.

12:00 to 1:00PM you may work with your team.

1:00 to 2:00PM you may do prospecting or do your marketing.

6:30 to 9:00 PM you may do presentation.

The point is, you can see clearly what you are doing it will keep you on track,

and avoid getting overwhelm.
