I-Action step to developing excellent habits for a successful entrepreneur #2

Welcome back!

I-Action step #2  Be accountable.

You have to hold yourself accountable. You have to hold yourself accountable like you would hold anybody else accountable. If I say, “I’m going to meet you here at 2:00 p.m.,” and I don’t show up, you probably are not going to be very happy. You probably are going to be calling me saying, “Hey, I was there waiting for you Giovanna at 2:00 p.m.” and “Why you were not there?” That’s holding me accountable. You need to be able to do the same for yourself, hold yourself accountable.

I have a busy schedule. I am a daughter, a mom and a wife. I’m also an own and work my 2 businesses. I am a coach, and mentor to others so I have a full schedule. I make myself a work schedule. My work schedule covers my time as a trainer, as a coach, as a speaker, as a business owner, as a mother, as a wife. I make the schedule and I hold myself accountable for it.

Last week I was ill. I was under the weather. I may not have given the best presentation or best class I could have done, but I gave the best class I could do in the condition that I was in. I’m not saying that to impress you, I’m just saying that to impress upon you the importance of holding yourself accountable. I can’t just say I am not feeling up to working, and so I am going to call in sick. If you are sick as a dog, that is a different story. Not feeling 100% is not a reason to call in sick. Accountability is very important, and that probably is one of most successful peoples secret. Life happens, and if you don’t hold yourself accountable to make sure you stick to your schedule, you’re not going to get it done and you’re not going to achieve what you want to achieve. That’s why successful people are successful, because they hold themselves accountable.
