What is “happily ever after”?

I was inspirited by this blog post “Story of a Wedding Day…

by a lady name Joan. As I was reading the story of her Wedding Day complete with all the vivid details. It is amazing that her special day happened 45 years ago. It is so sweet to read a story about a young couple tying the knot and do live happily ever after, forty five years and accounting.

For me speaking as a person who was married and devoiced before turning twenty; then years later I got a second chance with marriage once again. I can not help but wonder what are the chances for all of us? How can we find “happily ever after”?

All I know is with my first time around; I was looking to fill a void within me by finding a husband. Looking back I think my ex was looking fill a void inside him by finding a wife. Obviously that did not work for him or me. I guest two half of a person does not make one marriage. Two half of a person makes one big broken promise.

In my own learning curve, I learned that for me I had to fulfill the void inside me. Figure out my own baggage first, then when I was happy with me. Everything falls into place.

I have been married for fourteen years now; I believed I am with my soul mate. With that said no one truly knows what life may bring. All I know is I am happy with myself, and that is the only ”happily ever after” I can guarantee for me.

If you trying to find the right one, you first have to be the right one. Work on you first. Make you be the best you that you can. Read, learn and become knowledgeable so that you have thing to talk about. That you are well rounded person that someone else would be interested in you and what you have to bring forward. Thank you for sharing this with us.
