What is your Self-Image?
Welcome back!
A friend of mine used to says, “I want to make more money, but I don’t want too much—I really don’t need a lot of money. I just want to have enough money to live and not having to worry.”
I would often ask her what is the point of saying, “I want more money, but I don’t want too much money?” That’s like saying, “I want to be happy, but not too happy.” “I want to be in love, but not too in love.” Does that even make sense? She says that all the time!
The reason she says that all the time is because she has a self-Image that she’s put on herself. A limitation for her “she can only be successful to a certain level, maybe above poverty or above middle-class. She is not to go beyond her success level she set for herself. She doesn’t see herself being on the top of the success ladder.” She associates limitations with herself and she puts a negative spin on exceeding those limitations.
Some of us, for whatever reason, developed this belief that we only worth so much. However, it is very vital that we all move past that type of thinking. Until we believe we are successful, success will never be on our door steps. Until we believe that we deserve abundance, abundance will never be available to us. If you have been seeking success and or abundance, yet they are always just out of your reach. Ask yourself if you secretly have a limitation in your mind? How do you see yourself?
