Imperfect Action on Poverty!

Welcome back!

Poverty! For most of us we are fortunate enough, that we have never had personal experience with it. However, in today’s economy with Americans so far deep in the credit hole; more and more people are living paycheck to paycheck. The possibilities of a family finding themselves in poverty are higher then ever. I believe that even though it is very important to help people in poverty and help them to get back on their feet. It is essential for us to tech financial literacy. My feeling is that poverty, in a lot of cases comes on silently. Before a person or a family realizes it, they are in poverty zone. That is why it is at most important that we armed the new generations with financial literacy as we are working on help those who are in poverty get out of it. Organizations like Junior Achievement and many others alike are so important; teach our youth the real world of business, economics and financial literacy.

I living in San Diego, California and we have an organization call Photocharity and it is dedicated to Saving Homeless Youth in San Diego. Photocharity has raised over $1,000,000 to support The Storefront emergency homeless youth shelter, a program of San Diego Youth & Community Services.

As the holiday season is approaching in San Diego we also have the CCSA and they have a Adopt-A-Family Program. That is another great way to get involved in giving back.

The above organizations are the groups that I donate to and support. Even though it may not be a the world’s biggest action, at the very lease it is my part in giving back in doing something about poverty.

And if we all doing one little thing, the will be million of little acts taken by everyday people helping everyday folks.

Take an Imperfect Action against Poverty it is better than No Action.
