A Loving Home.

Welcome back!

What make a home?

In today’s society with traditional family, single parent family, blended family, adopted family, same sex marriage family etc… The concept of home is not longer the typical old fashion “leave it to Beaver family”.

The definition of a home is much more beautiful now then ever. In the old days, most people’s idea of a home is a stay at home mom with her children and the man of the house goes to work and earn money for his family. This home may have a white picket fence and a dog in the back yard. That image of a home is so perfect and it

The traditional Chinese character for love (愛) consists of a heart (middle) inside of "accept", "feel", or "perceive", which shows a graceful emotion.

could easily be interpreted as a standard of a home.

The great thing about today’s home is that because of the different dynamics of all kinds of family. We have gotten away from the outside appearance of what a home should look like, and we are now finally gotten down to the core of a home. LOVING!

In today’s society a house is a place is where we keep our stuff. A home is where our love ones gathered, where we are with people that make us “feel we belong.” We are all a lot more flexible now a days. The only focus is on “Is this a Loving Home?” This had become the new standard of home “Loving”. That is a beautiful thing!

Hi Giovanna,

You’re incredibly right!! Anyone can appear to have a perfect “home” with the mom and dad, 2.5 kids (lol), a dog and a white picket fence but if there’s no love, it truly can’t be called a “home.” A “home” is all the things that bring love into it.

Many Blessings….Roxanne and Hugo

Hello Giovanna, Shaw Funami is here. Your Hauzu (Kanji in Japanese) character, “ai”, caught my attention. Despite of language difference, “ai” and “love” carry almost perfect compatibility of meaning between English, Chinese, Japanese. It may be because “ai” is grown in warm home centered on children in history in any country. Heart warming story. Thank you!

Dear Shaw

The center of “Ai” is the symbol of ‘Heart’ in Chinese!

And I agree with you, a warm home is the centered for a child.

Thanks for your comment, I look forward to reading more from you :-)
