He is too short!

Welcome back!

This morning I was speaking with someone about Imperfect Action is better than No Action, in sharing with him how this philosophy can be apply to all area of our lives. I was reminded about a while back, a dear friend of my Elaine and I shared a memorable moment at an unlikely place.

Elaine and I are great friends, we known each other since we were teens. Elaine is one of those perfect girls, beautiful and smart! She got it all together. Elaine got married at 22. I remember the wedding; it was a fairy tail wedding. Elaine was so beautiful that day. All of us girls sitting there watching her standing up there with her Husband, we were all wishing we could be her.

Then a few years later, life happened to Elaine and her Husband. They grew apart… so they got a divorce.

More then a year had gone by after the divorce, Elaine was still sad about her divorce. I remember encouraging her to get out and live her life, enough time has gone by. Let’s get on with it!

One night, Elaine and I gone out dancing, it might have been for her birthday; I cannot recall. A good looking man came up to speak with her. So Elaine and I did what girls do, we went to the Ladies room and talk about this.

I asked her, “What do you think?” And Elaine said, “He is too short!” I paused for a second and I looked at her and said, “You got to start somewhere!?”  She had a funny look of shock on her face, and then Elaine busted out laughing. Just like that Elaine took on an imperfect action by speaking with a man that was too short, and she was on her way to finding love again. Eventually Elaine did find her true soul mate and got married again. I was at that wedding as well; I must say Elaine looked radiant at her second wedding. I couldn’t be happier for her.

That moment in the ladies room remained one of our most memorable moments. When Elaine said, “He is too short!” And I said, “You got to start somewhere!?”

LOL!! “You got to start somewhere!” That is too funny!!

Since embracing your incredible philosophy of “Imperfect Action is Better Than No Action” we’ve seen it in all areas of our lives, just as you say. We see opportunities of taking more imperfect action, than ever before. We even catch ourselves saying the phrase to other’s and even to eachother.

This story about you and your friend Elaine is a great example of how we should take imperfect action with everything. Your action just might change your life.

Many Blessings….Roxanne and Hugo ~ Believe Achieve
