The price of Peace and Equality.
Welcome back!
Veterans Day Originally came from after World War I, and it was called “Armistice Day”. That is because World War I concluded on the 11th hour of the 11th day of November 1918. Armistice Day was declared that day to honor the peace.
Then in 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower changed the name of Armistice Day to Veterans Day. In the USA Veterans Day is a national holiday for us to honor all veterans of the United States Armed Forces.
Today, in year 2008. Ninthy years since the ending of World War I, and we are still in the same fight. Fight for the same things - Peace and Equality. I hope to live long enough to see the day when we win!
To me Veterans Day mean to honor all of the men and women who gave their lives for us. And to all the families of the veterans, they risk the safety of their love ones: their sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers. Every thing is because they believe in the cause to protecting “Peace and Equality”.
Veterans Day is not just a day off for the bank, the school or the post office. Veterans Day is a day for me to say Thank You to all of the Veterans and their families from the bottom of my heart. Thank You for giving us Peace and Equality. God bless you all.
What does Veterans Day mean to you?

Imperfect Action is better than No Action

Hi Gio .. it is a time to remember all the sacrifices a great many families made for us to be able to have freedom of expression, to learn to be generous of spirit, to be willing to help, to open our hearts and to say an enormous thanks for their protection in all places at all times - peace and happiness be with us all whereever we are. Hilary
Veterans Day is a day to be thankful and grateful for many blessings such as, the land right under our feet, the dirt that dirties our shoes and covers our patios on a windy day. Because this same dirt is and has being fought for, hundreds of miles away. Strangers are risking their lives to protect something most of us take for granted. It’s called FREEDOM.
It’s a day to celebrate our Freedom and give a multitude of gratitude to those who are willing and have put their lives on the line to protect it. Everything we have and everything we do is because we have this incredible gift.
Veterans Day, among all our days, we express from the bottom of our hearts how thankful we are to those who have served our country and are still serving. They need to know we care, we love, we support, we honor and are truly grateful for them. Without them, we would not have the incredible gift we call Freedom. We Thank you so much for ours.
Many Blessings….
Hugo and Roxanne

Imperfect Action is better than No Action
Gio: My father in law came back from WWII as a totally disabled veteran. He died in his 40’s due to his injuries. My wife’s family lived hard times as the family was growing, as his goverment pension was not much at that time. He was always patriotic and never regretted what he did for his country.
My son and his wife have both served in the U.S. Air Force. There is a price to pay for freedom and our country has paid dearly for it. Let us not forget!
Jacques
