Stabilize your emotions

Welcome back!

Welcome to 2009!

First day of the New Year! How did you feel today? Did you feel different than yesterday?

2008 was quite a year for the United State. We saw the hottest Real Estate market boom in the beginning of the year and the quickest crushed by the end of year. We saw gas prices gone up close to $ 5.00 a gallon to less than $2.00 a gallon. We saw more people gone from living large to running scare than ever in the same year. We saw lots of ups and downs.

My point is 2008 was a volatile year for most. It was filled with the highest highs and some alarming lows.  A lot of talks were heard all around, about how or what needs to be stabilize… and many people have great hopes for this New Year to bring on that much need stability and a strong turn around.

While I do wish for the same stability and turn around for everyone and everywhere; personal I believe in focusing more on thing that I have more control of.

How about stabilizing our reaction to what happens around us.  A personal stability!  - The kind of stability that is inside a person. It is a reality that most of us cannot control what happen with the economy and the market place. Even the ones that do have control have no control at times. And No one person’s path is without peaks and valleys.

What we can do, is to stay emotionally stable! Another word, life’s peaks and valleys happen but we choose stay grounded and stable with our emotion.

When you are at a peak don’t get too full of yourselves, stay grounded.

When you are in a valley, don’t let fears and panics rule you. Stabilize your emotions, stay grounded, believe in yourself and have a little faith.

Yup, stabilizing your emotions. Don’t get too “volatile” and see how good it is.

Hi Giovanna,
Great Advice! We may not be able to control what’s happening in the economy but we sure do have full control of our emotions. You make a great point about the importance of “stabilizing” them. Stay humble, stay grounded, stay positive, have faith and BELIEVE in yourself!!

Many Blessings….

Breathing is the key.

Remember deep breaths to help ground yourself.
