Henry Ford was not Perfect!

Welcome back!

In 1908, Henry Ford produced the famous Model T. and by 1918 half of all automobiles in the U.S. were Model T.

Two years later General Motor and two other automobile makers came out with cars that offer a variety of colors and added features. Henry Ford was so confident with his company’s position in the automobile industry that he refused to change his motto of providing affordable vehicles. Ford insisted on offering only black and with limited features in order to keep the cost down.

As a result Ford lost his number one spot. Then Henry Ford closed down the factory to regroup. A couple months later Ford open up shop again and he launched Model A and the V-8 motors. Henry Ford was once again the number one automobile maker in America.

Henry Ford is one of world best known entrepreneur. His success wasn’t because he never made mistakes. In fact all successful people had to have their share of mistakes. So if we let our fear of making mistake stops us from doing, than we will never find out what we could have achieved.

“Even a mistake may turn out to be the one thing necessary to a worthwhile achievement.” ~ Henry Ford

Have faith in your wisdom. You are more resilient then you might realize. Whatever comes up in life, you will find your way through it. Everything you need is either in you or it is coming to you. Be brave, reach for what you want out of life. You can do it!

You don’t have to be perfect to be successful. You just need to get started!

“If you think you can do a thing or think you can’t do a thing, you’re right.” ~ Henry Ford

The only one who fail is the one who quits.
This from Thomas Edison when asked about getting some results before his ’success’:

Results! Why, man, I have gotten a lot of results. I know several thousand things that won’t work.
- Thomas A. Edison

With each of his ‘results’ Edison had a resource to draw from on the path to his success.
blessings to you, Giovanna,

Yet another wonderful share, Gio! Thank you!

And how will you know if you can succeed if you don’t start, right? Love it.

Mistakes lead to many wonders. Go ahead and try making a mistake, see where it leads you. :)

Henry Ford is a good example of what we see over and over again in history. Learning from history, I know success may be just behind failure. This gives me the energy I need to thrive.

Hi Christopher

Right, how would we ever know, if we don’t start.

I like how you summarized Ford.

I’ve learned that success is more like getting up to bat, as much as you can, and giving your best each time, than it is about the silver bullet or the one hit wonder.

One wins because he lost last time. One lose because he won last time. But, no time for regret. Excellent people like Ford keeps ball rolling. It is okay if I can win next. Thank you Giovanna, for your story.

That’s right. Failure to make mistakes deters many of us from realizing our true potential. The people who would hold mistakes against you are hoping to derail you, because they’re jealous of what you’re doing. Acknowledge that you’re not perfect, and understand the quickest and best way to learn something is the hard way. You can’t go through life pretending that you’re living it. Just live it.

I like this post.

Hi Giovanna,

I thoroughly enjoyed this story about Ford! You have a captivating story-telling style.

Mistakes are just feedback, as Deepak Chopra says. We always discover some interesting facts from “mistakes” and if Ford hadn’t made some of his own, where would the manufacturing process and economy cars be today? I’m SO grateful for the mistakes others have made to further our lives!

Thanks for sharing a high quality post.

I think acknowledge that we are not perfect, set us free to try and do things. As we know that is the only way to success. That is why Imperfect Action has so much meaning to me.

If Ford didn’t made mistake we would have V-8 motors. In fact the only people who doesn’t make mistake are someone who does nothing.

Often success needs failures to be completed, take failure as part of success. If you want success without failure, you are living in world of dreams.
