Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate love. Some of us might be busy showing our love to everyone that is dear to us. While other might be wishing we have someone who would show us some love. I would like to ask everyone to take a little time to do yourself a favorite and “Show yourself some love!” If you are buying a card or a gift to show someone else you love them. What are you doing for yourself? If you are looking for that special someone; your number 1 fans to bring you a Valentine. Why not be your own number 1 fans?
The beginning of the road to true love is within you! With a strong foundation of self-esteem, honor and love to oneself are the keys in feeling love no matter what. This will also keep that door to your heart open allowing you to receive and give even more love.
As you are showing your appreciation to those you love, please take a little time to notice all the things about yourself that you appreciate. When you are doing nice gestures for your love ones, don’t forget to do something nice for yourself. It can be as simple as taking 15 minutes of quiet time, having a special cup cake, a good workout… the point is do something nice for yourself.
And if you are wishes you have someone to love. Let’s remind ourselves that we have the best person to love already – just look into the mirror. What nice thing you would you tell yourself? What do you love about you? What nice thing would you like to do for yourself? Listen to your favorite music, dance around, and sing out loud… Whatever you feel like doing, go with it. Have some fun.
As much as the merchants might have you believing that Valentine ’s Day is all about the gift exchange, the candy, flowers, and gifts. In all honesty it is about celebrating love.
Have a happy Valentine’s Day and it is also a day to celebrate you.

Such a wise idea, to love yourself first. We too often look to those around us for love or spend all our time “trying” to love others, when the secret is to start with ourselves. Learning to love, honor and respect who we are serves to enhance our general well-being and makes the entire world a better and happier place to live. So do something nice for yourself today!

It is so true that we cannot give what we don’t have. If we’re filled to overflowing with love for ourselves, then it will spill over to others without us even trying. But when we’re empty, then we’ll look to others to fill us and we won’t be able to give. Great post to remind us of the importance of loving ourselves.

I think that everyone who doesn’t have a sweetheart on Valentines Day should focus on loving themselves. Be good to yourself, and treat yourself the way you would treat a hot date. Some good food, some wine, and a nice relaxing evening. Valentines Day used to be such a depressing day for me when I was single, and now I realize that I had the wrong approach to it.
Very true. How can one love when they do not love themselves first. What a great day to remind people of this fact!
