6 simple things you can do to gain confidence.
Welcome back!
Confidence is an important factor for anyone to becoming successful. When you have more confidence you automatically become more powerful and effective at everything that you do.
Here are 6 simple things you can do to quickly gain more confidence:
1. Managing your mind.
Study shows an average person has over 3,000 thoughts going through their head a day and about 80% of those thoughts are thoughts of doubts. You can overcome these unwanted thoughts by have more awareness. Try wearing a rubber band around your wrist. If you catch yourself thinking things like: “How is this going to work this time it didn’t work last time?” or “I know I should… but what if I fail?” Then you can give yourself a quick snap. The point is not to hurt yourself; it is meant to bring you awareness. Each time your rubber band snap, you are going to switch your thinking to, “This is a fresh new chance, all that matter is this moment!” Or “I am doing this because I got a good feeling about it.” Try it, it may surprise you.
2. Move your body.
30 minutes of exercise 5 days a week. You can take a brisk walk, you can ride a bike. The point is you have to move your body. When you feel strong and fit, you will feel more confidence.
3. Look your best.
Put some pride into your appearance. The military believe in it. Dress your best, stand up straight, sit up straight, chest out and shoulders back. How you dress and your posture can give you more confident.
4. A positive journal.
One reason why people have low confidence is because they feel that they’re not worthy or they have not accomplished a lot. Well, the remedy to that can be as simple as make a list of all the positive things you have done. You are much more divine than you realize. You have accomplished so much more than you consciously think about, so make a list.
5. Set small goal.
Set yourself up for success by setting small goals along the way to reaching your big goal. Every time you achieve a small goal, you sit a little taller. This will help you stay on track and feel more and more confidence each step of the way.
6. Structures and routine
People feel more confidence when they know what, where and when they are suppose to do or to be. So have a schedule and develop a routine. This can help with that feeling of lost and as a result more confidence.
I encourage you to do this for a least a month in order for you to take in the new habits. You can get used to the new confident you; much quicker than you realize you could. Once you are confident. You will see how brilliant you really are, and you will wonder how you could ever doubt yourselves?

Hi Giovanna,
All these are really useful tips. I’ve done the positive journalling and highly recommend it. Routine is my challenge - I love and thrive on routine but my easy-going lifestyle makes it too easy to just take each day as it comes. I’ll work on it though.
Great tips. I thought we had more like 50,000 thoughts a day, but maybe this is original thoughts? I know out of that 50K, most if them are the same thing repeated over and over. This is why having positive thoughts more often are so powerful. Because what we thinkand domost often we beocme. Thanks Giovanna for some great steps to improve my life!
Very well thought out. I love the quote, “Imperfect Action is better than No Action!” Actually it is WAY better, because if we are honest with ourselves, nothing we do is perfect…but we still need to move forward, don’t we!
Great picture!
Great tips, creating awareness is the key, once we do that it is amazing how many doors we will open and how much more peace will be in our life.
I love that picture .. my uncle has it on his wall at home .. Thanks Gio the 6 points are very relevant .. I’ll get working on them

I love the list and it’s simple enough to be effective … and that’s what it’s all about!
My favorite here is “Set small goal”. Smaller goals are easier to achieve. The small goals failures are “cheaper” too, no harm to confidence
Confidence is always there, within each person. It is a matter of learning to dissolve the doubt and other veils that block the view of the inner truth.
So true! Another thing that helps me is to always set specific goals - big or small. So much easier to achieve.
Hi Jay

Hi Alik
Setting small goal is one of the key to success as well. It is much better to have a lot of small little goal, then just one huge goal

Indeed confidence is important. The more confidence you have, the more positive you can be. Confidence has more to do with body language then anything. When your body is in the
proper position, it builds the creation of confidence: head up, shoulders
lifted, straighten back, walking with intent/ purpose, and relaxing (to move
with ease). When you communicate, speak deliberately, with a affirmative,
assertive, and ‘insertive’ tone (’insert yourself’ into confidence). The reason
this works is because Being is a state, doing is an act based on the state (mind-set) you are in. Positive people are positive and do positive things based on how they are being (not the other way around).
Being positive is a simple act of being in that state, by allowing yourself to
be there, no matter what the situations. Your circumstances have nothing to
do with how you feel. Feeling is about being. You can allow your
surroundings to determine how you feel, but ultimately you have control
over your feelings (not your surrounds, circumstances, or situations).
You must be in a state of confidence and because you are being that, you do confident
things. Confident people are not confident because they do confident things,
they are confident because of how they allow themselves to feel. Feeling
confident is about being in the state of confidence. Feeling is about emotion.
Your emotional states are about your body state.
Thank you for such a confident post
Hi Nicholas
Very well said, thank you for the input. Being confident is a state, a feeling. It is the way a person feel, look, act, and talk.
