Take Imperfect Action on caring for a child with special need.
Welcome back!
In our “Imperfect Action is better than No Action!” group inside Facebook; where we have strong community of voices, who believe in the philosophy of “Imperfect Action is better than No Action!” A place where we spread our message, sharing and supporting one another on empowering our lives with Imperfect Action!
are our members and this is a story they shared with us about, how they took imperfect action in order to giving the best care to their special needs child.
2 years ago, our daughter Mia was born prematurely at 28wks. gestation, 3 months early. She was born with many medical challenges including respiratory challenges, severe reflux, feeding issues and with an opening in her heart. After several surgeries and overcoming many obstacles, Mia was ready to come home after nearly 4 months in the NICU.
Being a parent is already a tough job, but when your child has special needs, it becomes a greater challenge. The greatest thing Hugo and I have committed to is to take care of our daughter Mia without the help of skilled nursing services. We had no idea, at the time, if this was a good decision. But, we were truly committed to helping Mia grow to her fullest potential. We learned how to be her nurses and this has been our greatest achievement yet!
Many Blessings….
Roxanne and Hugo

Imperfect Action is better than No Action
Hi Giovanna,
Thank you so much for featuring our Imperfect Action story. We hope to inspire many others to take “imperfect action” today. It all begins with believing in yourself and having the courage to go for what it is you want. In our case, when Mia was strong enough to come home, we didn’t want to bring the nurses with us. We just wanted our baby home. So, we set forth to learn all we needed about Mia’s medical challenges. We are confident that we know as much as any nurse, maybe even more since we care for her 24/7.
So, if parents with no prof. medical background can achieve this…you can, too. Anything is possible when you believe in yourself and take the actions to move toward your goals.
Take action today…”Imperfect Action is Better than No Action.”
Many Blessings….

That is a very nice story, it is beautiful to hear a story of love for children compare to the stories of horror we often hear in the news.
Well done Roxanne and Hugo.
May your daughter grow up to be a fine lady.
And thsnk you Giovanna for posting the story.

It is amazing what we can do when we take action. Many people are frozen in time because they are afraid of imperfect action. We must have the courage to try.
Beutiful story and what a beautiful child. We are so bombarded with sad stories, and horror stories that it is a blessing to see this story of true love. Thank you Roxanne and Hugo for putting yourself out there, and thanks as always to Giovanna for making my day brighter.

Dear Hugo and Roxanne,
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
STARTING from your LOVING and creative DECISION to nerse your own child, I think you have entered a NEW world, a GREAT world, though it may SEEM mysterious but I am very hopeful that only those who decide to enter it (by doing like what you did and other stuff along a similar wavelengh) will get the AMAZING taste of the results. I don’t think I should talk more but I have a strong feeling that you already STARTED living those secret rewards (:
All of the above does not mention the INSPIRATIONAL effect of spreading your story to the WORLD!
Blessings to you, your SPECIAL baby and to Giovanna from

You make an interesting point here.
They became a nurse for their daughter. I was reading a similar article about why do we need people such as real estate agents and other professionals.
I mean do you really trust they will do their best, and act in your best interest?
I think not.
Also, i will feature this in next weeks post, on my top 10 link list.
Hi Rami

you are welcome Giovanna, I really enjoy your articles ever since finding your comments on Trey’s blog (swollen entertainment).
I think no matter what it is, we have our best interest at heart, although that is not always the case.
I mean for years I was in a financial wreck and clearly my friend knew better and tried to help to look at differently and finally I am seeing the situation differently. I think it was either my ignorance or just a phase I needed to go through to learn from.
Hi Tom
I believe we are willing to listen or to learn, when the time is right for us. Sometime we are not ready to recieve just yet. It does sound like you are ready now and that is a good thing
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and I am glad we connected with each other. Trey is a good guy.

Hello,
I like your motto, “Imperfect Action is better than no action”. It is similar to mine which states, “you don’t have to be great–you just have to begin”.
I will subscribe to your site. You have a lot to offer us.
Thank you,
Lorenzo Wallace
Hi Lorenzo
