The base of your neck is a part of your throat; one of the most vulnerable parts of your body. It would only take 15 Lbs of pressure to penetrate. Do you believe that it is possible to bend metal by pushing a piece of metal up against your throat?
How about bending a piece of 6 feet long rebar with your throat? The same kind of rebar they use to build skyscrapers. These rebar are made to handle 3600 Lbs of pressure per square inch. Can you bend one rebar?
You heard of making a strong connection with someone!? How strong of a connection? Is it possible that you can create a connection with a stranger so strong that together you two can bend a piece of rebar?
My answer is yes, it is possible.
Last weekend I was at an event (Breakthrough hosted by Jeffery and Erica Combs) sitting next to a perfect stranger. At a moment notice she and I got up and we each placed one end of the rebar at the soft part at the base of our necks. We count to three and she and I came together for a big hug. The piece of rebar gave way to us and bended.
It took us 2 tries, to get the strong connection. So once again Imperfect Action was at work. However, with the 2nd try we got connected and as if the rebar wasn’t even there.
I am not saying everyone needs to go out and bend rebar; I just want to share with everyone 3 things.
When the first time does work, keep the faith and try again.
It is possible to build a strong connection with a stranger within minutes.
We are strong then metal.

The thought of if I can or can’t ever come into my mind. I just walk up and did it. And when the first time did work, I was only thinking how we can be stronger connected. So, come to think of it, I never question if I can?

I do believe it’s possible to build a strong connection with a complete stranger. It happened to me a couple of days ago. I met with a new client for coffee and felt like I’d known him my entire life. I’m usually pretty shy, but there was a distinctive openness that I really appreciated being a part of.
