Two weeks to live…
Welcome back!
What would you do if you were told by the Dr. you only have 2 more weeks to live? What would be your dying wish? Brenden Foster an 11 year old little boy who was dying of leukemia with 2 weeks to live. Brenden made a selfless dying wish: to feed the homeless.
In the last days of Brenden’s life, it was a homeless camp ‘Nickelsville’ that captured the boy’s heart. Brenden was coming back from one of his clinic appoints and he saw this big group of homeless people, and that was when Brenden thought he should feed the homeless.
But Brenden was too ill to feed them on his own. So volunteers from Emerald City Lights Bike Ride passed out some 200 sandwiches to the homeless in Seattle.
Then Brenden’s last wish took on a life of its own. A TV station in Los Angeles held a food drive. School kids in Ohio collected cans. People in Pensacola, Florida gathered goods. In his home state of Washington a ‘Stuff the Truck’ food drive in Brenden’s honor. Hundreds with generous hearts donated six and a half huge truck loads of groceries and more than $60,000 in cash to benefit Northwest Harvest and Food Lifeline.
“He’s left a legacy and he’s only 11,” said Brenden’s mother, Wendy Foster. “He’s done more than most people dream of doing just by making a wish.”
Brenden touched hearts all over the world. His wish came true, and he lived to see it. Brenden’s grandmother Patricia McMorrow said, “He had the joy of seeing all of the beautiful response to his last wish and it gives him great peace and he knows that his life has meaning.” Patricia said, “He tells us that when he’s an angel, he’s going to keep doing the good work,”
Dying Boy’s Last Wish - to Feed the Homeless.. Touching Story
Brenden had one more wish before going: sprinkle wildflower seeds to save the bees. He had heard bees were in trouble. A retired pilot answered Brenden’s wish. The retired pilot asked his pilot and flight attendant friends to sprinkle wild flowers around the world, from Bali to Brazil, on Brenden’s behalf.
When Brenden was asked “what made him sad?” Brenden answered, “When someone gives up.” Brenden Foster never gave up. Even as he clung to his last hours of life, Brenden kept giving. Brenden also said, “Follow your dreams. Don’t let anything stop you,”

Hello Giovanna,
I’m holding the tears back! Such an incredible story of an incredible little boy! When most children would wish to go to Disneyland or ask for the lastest toy gadget, he chose to make a difference in the lives of the homeless people he saw that day. His heartfelt wish not only made a difference in their lives of the homeless, but also the lives of those who helped in making it come true…and the many who will hear his story in the future. He was a beautiful Angel long before it was his time. Love and blessings to his family.
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful story.
Many Blessings….

Touching Story and good point.
“What would you do if you were told by the Dr. you only have 2 more weeks to live? ”
Our goal is to live a life where, in answer to the above question, we should be able to say, “Nothing.”
Taking with me this - ““Follow your dreams. Don’t let anything stop you”
You know I sometimes wonder myself what it would feel like if I got that message, I mean there is so many things I do that well I am not proud of and I never do it with the mentality of, what if you were dead tomorrow.
Because really, you never know what may happen.
One thing I learned while being part of a network marketing company was, today is the first day of the rest of your life. Meaning today is a fresh start for you, so don’t tell me ohhh I can’t do it, thats a load of crap and we all know it.
Yes it takes sweat and blood to get the job done, if it were so easy, life would be boring.
Wow. If I could face death with such peace, grace and goodness, I would consider my life well-lived. Beautiful story and video, Giovanna.
I could not hold back- tears are flowing. God bless you Brendon. May we all heed the call you so selflessly showed us today. Thanks Gio for sharing!
Hi Hugo & Roxanne
Little Brenden was an old wise soul in a kids body. I believe he is an Angel watching over us.

Hi Giovanna,
Thank you very much for sharing such a touching story. It reminds me of this quote from Lawrence G. Lovasik: “A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves.”
Take care and have a great day,
Daniel

Live your dreams… well said. Thank you for sharing stories like this Giovanna - these are helping me get through a tricky time. Much appreciated. Wonder if there is a correlation between age and selflessness..
Hi Dave
I am so glad these story help inspire you. I too wonder if the younger we are the easier it is to be selfessness? A great question.
