Chinese Wisdom
Welcome back!

Here is a little of Ancient Wisdom from my mother land.
Chinese Proverbs
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song.
Be not afraid of going slowly; be afraid only of standing still.
Clear conscience never fears midnight knocking.
A diamond with a flaw is worth more than a pebble without imperfections.
I was angered, for I had no shoes. Then I met a man who had no feet.
He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.
Give a man a fish, and you feed him a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.
It is not the knowing that is difficult, but the doing.
A bad word whispered will echo a hundred miles.
The gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials.
Life is partly what we make it, and partly what it is made by the friends whom we choose.
To know the road ahead, ask those coming back.
Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.
Only he that has traveled the road knows where the holes are deep.
Dig the well before you are thirsty.
If you don’t want anyone to know, don’t do it.
Teachers open the door. You enter by yourself.
A child’s life is like a piece of paper on which every person leaves a mark.
Talk does not cook rice.
I hope you take away some pearls of wisdom from this.

Hi Giovanna,
I grew up in a house where one of my dad’s favorite sayings was “you want to help someone, don’t give them fish…teach them how to fish”. So you know I loved this post! You have so many great words of wisdom that we all can learn and apply in our own lives!
