The Ambassador of Imperfection.

Welcome back!

ambassadorintro

Recently I received phone calls from people who I met from different events. These messages is very important to this blog and my work. They let us know that the philosophy of Imperfect Action is better than No Action is a message that needs to be spread as far and wide as possible.

Bernadette said:  “I saw you in Simi Valley and the message of Imperfect Action is better than No Action  had made a big different for me and my family. I have been a perfectionist all of my life and I didn’t realize what kind of pressure I have been putting on my children. They are all so afraid of making mistake to do anything wrong. After hearing the message of Imperfect Action is better than No Action, I went home and I have a long talk with my children. I taught them Imperfect Action is better than No Action and how  imperfection is a part of us. And that perfection is a journey of a lot of imperfect Actions .”

Kevin said: “After I saw you in Los Angles, when I got home I have been seeing things differently. My business is flowing better, things has been great. It is wonderful not have to be perfect all the time.  I now also see perfectionist everywhere,   so many people are affected by it.”

Carlos said: ” When I first came here to this country, I was a young man.  I was so focus to survive and I didn’t have time to worry about being perfect of not. Then after I made a life of myself and have a family, I started to want to do better and better for my wife and kids and I never want to make any mistake because of my pride. When I heard Imperfect Action is better than No Action in New York, I realized that my pride is really my ego. And my ego have prevented me from be able to do more with my life and my family, I protected myself to ever risking looking bad.  My ego had kept a wall between me and everyone.”

Mary said: ” I have been a perfectionist my whole life and I came to except that it was because of my upbringing. Then when I met you and headed the message Imperfect Action is better than No Action in San Diego, I realized that I don’t have be perfectionist forever. I can set myself free, and I can help to set my daughters free as well. It is very taxing to always have to be perfect, a lot of time I chose to not do or finish something just so I can keep my perfect record.”

These messages are about how perfectionist  affects everyone around you. Perfectionist put distance between people. Perfectionist keep procrastination alive. Perfectionist is a big ego.

Let’s be The Ambassador of Imperfection; help spread the message of Imperfect Action is better than No Action and to  living perfectly imperfect.

Giovanna, as one who is a recovering perfectionist, I can really relate to this. Trying to be perfect is a recipe for failure. Thanks!

I love these words: “Perfectionist put distance between people. Perfectionist keep procrastination alive. Perfectionist is a big ego.” They are so true! Perfectionism really hinders your ability to relate to others and to do good work. Perfect is the enemy of good!

Hi Carlotta

In our live from time to time we will have moments that we feel like we are getting our wheels back under ourselves. That is all a part of the big picture. Do your best with what you can, and believe that things will all work out as they should, if you do what you should. Keep pressing forward, don’t try to be perfect. I am here for you daily.
