Leaving Absolutely No Regret
Welcome back!

No Regrets
My Grandma Millie is 96 years old, she live a very happy live. A purposeful life; she was a Missionary in the Philippine for many years along side with Grandpa Homer, plus my Dad and his 3 sisters. Grandma Millie has been staying in a Care Center for the last month because of her medical need. The family has asked everyone to stop sending Get Well card, instead to send Thinking of you card; due to the reality of her situation. Also, the family have begin going through her things and allow family member to take some of her things to remember her by.
Many letters and poems came in the mail for Grandma Millie, a sign of how well she is loved and what impacted she made on so many people’s lives. Grandma Millie is a woman who lives her life to the fullest and she made every day of her life counts.
Naturally the question that comes to my mind is “How well do we live our life?” When it is the end of my days, will there be letters and poems written for me? And what will it say about me? How about you, what do you want to see at the end of your days?
Here is a poem that carries the message of living life the way I think how life is meant to lived.
Life’s too short
that pull and tear on your heart strings
so park those thoughts that make you worry
and create new goals to which you’ll hurry.
Make your list of things to do
that always seemed not part of you
make yourself explore unknowns
write down your thoughts dig up those bones
Take a step toward things that scare you
Show who’s boss while mind prepares to
overcome what seems unrealistic
before you lose it and go ballistic
Do something different every day
and watch as life shows new path ways
Life’s too short to dwell on things
that pull and tear on your heart strings.
I am dedicating a song by Tracy Chapman title “Sing for you” to Grandma Millie and my neighbor Alex who’s Grandma Inga just past way last Saturday.
Life is a precious gift, and the way we say thank you is to make the most out of life.
Let’s live everyday to the MAX and leaving Absolutely No Regret.

It is always a good thing if we can live our lives so that we have no regrets. Your Grandma Millie sounds like she has few if any. Thank you for telling us about this lovely LADY. Keep the memories close to your heart. The song in the video is lovely. Have a good day.
Thank you Giovanna for this lovely post.

Touching post…
Thanks for the poem you left on my blog. Then I come here and it gets even better. My husband lost his job 3 months ago and we’re in the process of digging up those bones ( earlier dreams) when we didn’t have the opportunity to follow them.
I’m sending get well wishes to your Grandma Millie today and thanks for inspiring me as I wipe my tears off my cheeks! You’re the best! Tess
Hi Gio .. I love Michael’s story .. and am so pleased he treasures her - they are special especially when they really are in the last chapters of their lives .. they offered so much, have done so much, have helped so many, have cheered so many, have loved so many .. so hugs and love to them all … all over the world, whereever they may be.
All the best - Hilary Melton-Butcher
